Biggest Corruption in Cricket; 1.74 crores for food, 35 lakhs for bananas and water



Uttarakhand Cricket: Officials in the Uttarakhand Cricket Association have been accused of corruption. The police have started an investigation into this case.


The Indian cricket board is the richest in the world. A major corruption has come to light in a state board that comes under such a board. The Uttarakhand Police is currently investigating the office bearers of the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand in the state. What is emerging from this inquiry is shocking for Indian cricket.



35 lakhs for purchase of banana bills, the total expenditure for food and water more than 1.74 crores, daily allowance Rs.49.5 lakhs, and 11 crores spent for travel during Corona lockdown. After spending so much, the players were not paid. The officials have been accused of irregularities in his selection and of extortion and death threats to the players.


Uttarakhand police have questioned secretary Mahim Verma, team head coach Manish Jha and spokesperson Sanjay Gusai. According to Dehradun SSP, Janamejaya Khanduri, Verma, Jha, and Gusai have been summoned separately for the last 3 days for questioning. All the statements have been recorded and will be called again if needed.



A complaint under IPC Sections 120B, 323, 384, 504, and 506 have been lodged at Vasant Vihar Police Station, Dehradun. This complaint was made by Virendra Sethi, father of former under-19 team player Arya Sethi. His son was threatened with death by Jha, team management Navneet Mishra, and video analyst Piyush Raghuvanshi during the Vijay Hazare tournament last year.



The daily allowance is reduced for the players.

For the past few days, there has been an allegation that the association gives the daily allowance less to the players. Allowance is given only Rs. So it is mandatory to pay an amount of 1 thousand 500 rupees. Apart from this, food was not provided during the competition and training. The state board showed this expenditure on paper and pocketed the money.


In its audit report dated March 31, 2020, Uttarakhand Board has shown an expenditure of Rs.1,74,07,346 for food and other items. 49,58,750 has been shown as an expenditure for daily allowance. This includes an expenditure of Rs 35 lakh for bananas and Rs 22 lakh for water.



Along with Sethi, Robin Bisht has also made serious allegations. Narrated an incident in the quarter-final against Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy. Bisht said he asked for Rs 10 lakh to be included in the team.
