Bomb blast shakes Pakistan

A bomb blast near the Pakistani city of Karachi has killed at least 10 people and injured dozens more.



According to information obtained by Worldopress, an explosion took place in a ditch under a bank in Karachi. Authorities suspect the blast was caused by an accumulation of explosive gas in a drain under the building.

The blast shattered the windows of nearby buildings and caused extensive damage to several parked vehicles.




It was not immediately clear what caused the blast, but a team of explosives experts was called in to investigate, police spokesman Sohail Jokhio said.


The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital and the condition of the three is critical. At least 10 people have been killed.

It is learned that many people are trapped under the pile. The entire area has been cordoned off and rescue operations are underway.
