France will deliver 12 more Caesar howitzers to Ukraine, according to Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
Lecornu stated, during a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov in Paris, that the two men discussed training Ukrainian pilots to fly French fighter planes, but no decision has been made.
He stressed that France's position on arming Kyiv was that the guns be used solely for self-defense. Kyiv has already received 18 Caesar howitzers from Paris.
France will also deploy 150 army personnel to Poland each month to train up to 600 Ukrainian soldiers, he said.
He also declared "there is no taboo" when questioned about delivering combat planes to Ukraine.
