Rahul Bajaj, an eminent industrialist and former chairman of the Bajaj group passed away recently on Saturday, Feb 12 at the age of 83 due to age-related illness.
He was admitted to the Ruby Hall Clinic Hospital in Pune, as per the officials.

On 31st March 2020, the Bajaj group patriarch stepped down as chairman of the holding company Bajaj Holding& investments. Bajaj Auto, and Bajaj finserv.
According to economic times, Bajaj stepped down as non-executive chairman of Bajaj Auto, ceding the position to his cousin Niraj Bajaj.

Rahul Bajaj was born on 10th June 1938 in Calcutta. His family included his late wife Rupa Bajaj, children Rajiv & Sanjiv, father Kamal Nayan Bajaj.
He was awarded Padma Bhushan in 2001.
