According to the special report released by USTR, there are seven countries whose economies are deemed the most challenging in terms of enforcement and protection of IP. Among the seven countries, India is counted among them. India remains one of the toughest economies in terms of security and enforcement of intellectual property, the office of the US Trade Representative said in a report. According to the report, the seven designated countries are Argentina, Chile, China, India, Indonesia, Russia and Venezuela.
The analysis and study of Ukraine's economy remain suspended due to the ongoing Russian-Ukraine war. According to the report released by the authorities, India has maintained inconsistent and unstable progress on IP protection and enforcement. While India rendered meaningful improvements to stimulate IP protection and enforcement in some regions over the past year, it simultaneously languished settling the recent and long-standing challenges, adding new concerns for rights holders.
