Israel Strikes 180 Targets in Southern Lebanon Amid Escalating Tensions with Hezbollah

On Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a series of strikes, hitting approximately 180 targets in southern Lebanon. According to the Israeli military, these operations were aimed at dismantling Hezbollah's capabilities and terror infrastructure. The Israeli Air Force reported that "thousands of launcher barrels ready for immediate use to fire toward Israeli territory" were destroyed.

The strikes came in response to escalating cross-border tensions, as Hezbollah fired multiple rocket barrages into northern Israel. Lebanese media confirmed widespread Israeli strikes in southern and eastern Lebanon, which also resulted in several forest fires.

Fires broke out in northern Israel as well, after Hezbollah claimed responsibility for attacking the Israeli military’s Beit Hillel barracks with Katyusha rockets. The IDF reported that approximately 90 projectiles were launched from Lebanon into Israel.
