Tuesday's NATO summit in Brussels to cover the topic of supplying Ukraine with further military assistance, including maybe heeding President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's requests for fighter planes.
Before the meeting, Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg stated that the military alliance decided to expand its ammunition stockpile objectives since Kyiv is rapidly depleting shells.
Stoltenberg also stated that it was more necessary that Finland and Sweden's NATO applications be confirmed soon than granted all at once.
Meanwhile, NATO member Norway has agreed to deploy eight German-made Leopard 2 combat tanks and other weapons to Ukraine to assist in the fight against Russia.
The Kremlin slammed NATO's prolonged engagement in the crisis on Tuesday, claiming the organisation was demonstrating "hostility" against Moscow on a daily basis.
This comes as important sections of Ukraine are once again under attack, with the eastern city of Bakhmut in particular under intense bombardment.
According to Britain's Ministry of Defense, fighters from Russia's mercenary Wagner Group have likely made more tiny gains on the city's northern borders, notably into the town of Krasna Hora.
