Problems for India is increasing continuously. Rohit Sharma, the vice-captain of the first Test team, has been ruled out of the Test series due to injury. But now news is coming that Virat Kohli has withdrawn his name from the ODI series. This has happened when the BCCI has removed Virat Kohli from the captaincy of ODIs.
Team India has to play a three-match Test series in South Africa, which will start from December 26. After the Test series, the ODI series between India and South Africa will start on January 19, with the first one-day match being played on January 19 at Boland Park, Paarl. The second ODI will be played in Paarl on 21 January and the third ODI on 23 January in Cape Town. India won the 6-match ODI series played in 2018 5-1 under the captaincy of Virat Kohli.
After the removal of Virat Kohli from the captaincy and giving the command to Rohit Sharma, the news of this kind is not free from danger for the Indian cricket team. Board President Sourav Ganguly had also given the reason for taking back the captaincy from Virat.
Sourav Ganguly had said that Virat was forbidden to give up the captaincy of T20 but he did not agree. After which the selectors and the board together decided that different captains cannot be kept in limited overs cricket, so Rohit was given the captaincy of T20 and ODI.
