Senior Russian FSB commander colonel dies in the Ukrainian war



A senior FSB commander has become the latest Russian colonel to be killed in Ukraine, and there are reports that Vladimir Putin has sacked six generals over their "poor performance."

According to the local Russian media, Lieutenant Colonel Nikolay Gorban, who was of 36 years, led elite Spetsnaz special forces and troops into the battle, was killed somewhere in Ukraine on the 2nd of August.



On the other hand, British intelligence says that Putin has "fired his generals over failings which have seen his invasion stall and military suffer astonishing casualties.

The British intelligence also thinks that General Aleksandr Vladimirovich Dvornikov, popularly known as the " Butcher of Syria," has also been removed by Putin. General Gennady Valeryevich Zhidko, who was in charge of the Southern Grouping of forces, has also been fired by the Russian President.
