Bengaluru: Today, G7 finance ministers and central bank governors are gathering in the Indian city of Bengaluru. The key topic on the agenda is financial assistance for Ukraine, one day before the war's anniversary. The G7 has also emphasised the importance of a "fully-funded" IMF support programme for Ukraine by the end of March.
Ukraine is attempting to arrange a $15 billion agreement with the IMF, a key UN financial body, to fund immediate financial assistance and infrastructure reconstruction.
According to Japan's G7 chair and finance minister Shun'ichi Suzuki, the group is "unwavering" in its "commitment to help for Ukraine."
