WhatsApp is a top-rated messaging app and it constantly enhances the users' experience by introducing new features. Now WhatsApp is rolling out the new feature. With this, the screenshot of the chat cannot be taken. However, this feature will only be available for images sent from View Once.
That is, if someone has sent an image with the help of the View Once feature, then its screenshot cannot be taken. Earlier, people complained that users save it by taking a screenshot of the image sent with the View Once feature. This makes no sense of the View Once feature. But, WABetaInfo, a website that monitors new features of WhatsApp, has said that a new feature is being released for selected beta users. Due to this, users cannot save the image sent from View Once by taking a screenshot. It has also been told in the report that if the image is sent from View Once, then screen recording will also be blocked.
Only the black screen will be captured if someone tries to take a screenshot. This feature is available in many OTT apps like Netflix, Disney + Hotstar, and Amazon Prime Video. The report states that no third-party app can bypass this blocking feature.
However, the receiver can capture it on another phone. It has been said that if you try to take a screenshot, you will get the message of the screenshot being blocked. Users cannot forward, export, or save images or videos with Once View. Right now, this feature has been made available to beta testers for the time being. But, in the coming time, it will also be made available for the rest of the users.
